Phora is steadily gearing up to present his next project, and the first taste from it arrived last month with his brand new single “Love Letters.” The new clip was especially significant to Phora, as it’s his “favorite video yet” thanks to the assist from his real-life love interest Skye. He swiftly followed that up with today’s new offering “Romeo’s Cure.” The new single arrives with a feel-good visual featuring scenes Phora having a great time on a yacht intertwined with his beach performance of his lovestruck lyrics:
I know you need someone who’s patient (Patient) someone that you can spend you days with (Days with)/ I know you need someone to love you and hold you down, faithful when they come around, but I’m sayin’ (Sayin’)/ You don’t need no more complications (Complications)
You need someone ready to sacrifice and take the time, baby, I can make you mine/ But both of us are holdin’ onto somethin’ should we stay or should we keep on runnin’?/ Well, you can’t cure the pain with medication I’ll come to you, just send me the location
After teasing fans with his “Loaded Gun” visual a few months ago, Phora officially unleashed his latest project heartbreak hotel. Equipped with seven tracks and a feature from Destiny Rogers, the new project speaks to love, heartbreak, mental health and perspectives on emotional hardships.
Back in November, Phora released his album With Love II via his own imprint Yours Truly Records, now an independent artist after spending a chunk of his career with Warner Records. In celebration of the release, he shared an official lyric video of one of the stand out tracks “This Weekend” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The project was preceded by singles like “Stars In The Sky” feat. Jhene Aiko, “Cupid’s Curse” feat. Kehlani, and the visual for “Traumatized” feat. Toosii.
