Phora is steadily gearing up to present his next project, and the first taste from it arrived over the weekend with his brand new visual “Love Letters.” The new clip is especially significant to Phora, as it’s his “favorite video yet” thanks to the assist from his real-life love interest Skye. On the track, Skye opens up the song with he vocals as the visual shows the couple getting lost in each other during a romantic night at the carnival:
Only one your love, so you’re loving the pain, only one your trust, so that’s why you feel safe/ Gave you all my love, just don’t throw it away ’cause I just wanna be the only reason you stay (Stay)/ Don’t throw my love away (Love away) don’t throw my love away
In a lengthy caption, Phora makes sure to express his love and gratitude for his co-star, who has been his motivation when things got tough. “When I lost all hope and motivation in making music, when I thought I couldn’t write good songs anymore, when I thought it was a good idea to quit making music, you motivated me to make these songs over these last few months,” he types. “Being in the studio with you, hearing your beautiful singing voice brought my love for music back, and I can’t wait until everyone hears what we created.”
Back in November, Phora released his album With Love II via his own imprint Yours Truly Records, now an independent artist after spending a chunk of his career with Warner Records. In celebration of the release, he shared an official lyric video of one of the stand out tracks “This Weekend” featuring Ty Dolla $ign. The project was preceded by singles like “Stars In The Sky” feat. Jhene Aiko, “Cupid’s Curse” feat. Kehlani, and the visual for “Traumatized” feat. Toosii.
