Jack Harlow fans were hit with a pleasant surprise when the Kentucky star announced he would be dropping a new single today (Aug 3) just a day before its release. To make things better, the new “SUVs (Black on Black) track sees an assist from a fellow rising hit maker from the South, Pooh Shiesty. On the song, Jack takes care of the opening hook and first verse as he rides the Go Grizzly and Smash David co-produced beat:
All my brags turn to facts, all my hundreds turn to racks/ All my ladies turn to snacks, SUVs black on (Black on) SUVs black-on-black, I was fuckin’ up, but now I’m back on track, that’s a fact, yeah
Filet Mignon, that’s on Jack, I done turned the penthouse suite into my natural habitat/ I just got my taxes back, that shit come, cash I ain’t have/ It ain’t hurt, it ain’t hurt, main chick, so I’ma flirt
In recent Jack Harlow-related news, he made headlines due to his recent assist on Lil Nas X’s “Industry Baby” single and music video. Back in December, Harlow released his official debut LP That’s What They All Say, which sees 15 tracks and additional appearances from EST Gee, Lil Baby, Big Sean, Adam Levine, Bryson Tiller, Lil Wayne, DaBaby, and more. The project was a success for the Louisville star, landing in the top five of the Billboard thanks to 51,000 album equivalent units sold during its first week of release.
Back in February, Pooh Shiesty made his project debut into the rap world with Shiesty Season, a 17-track offering that saw additional appearances from Lil Durk, Gucci Mane, BIG30, 21 Savage, Veeze, Foogiano, Lil Hank, Choppa Wop, and Tay Keith. Months later, he would celebrate the album reaching the coveted Gold status by liberating a Spring Deluxe edition. He also grabbed a slot on this year’s XXL Freshman list, putting him alongside fellow artists like Coi Leray, Toosii, Blxst, Morray, 42 Dugg, and Flo Milli.
Be sure to press play on Pooh Shiesty and Jack Harlow’s “SUVs (Black on Black).”
