Those not familiar with Spanish produce HVME are probably hip to the song that brought him his so-called claim to fame — last year, he reworked Travis Scott and Kendrick Lamar’s hit single “Goosebumps” into a deep house vibe that’s since charted in various countries around the world. Today (July 23), he connects with 24kGoldn and Quavo for the collaboration “Alright,” an apparent flip of German rapper Bausa’s 2017 hit single “Was Du Liebe nennst” (or “What You Call Love”). The updated version keeps with love-related subject matter as well:

“Let’s take the jet, I’m feelin’ fly, what we gon’ do? I’m in your city for the night, pretty face, thick thighs, damn, girl, I think you just my type, oh baby, hope you ain’t showing that fake love, When I’m not around, please don’t change up, actin’ crazy, got me thinkin’ we should break up, swear it’s different since we met, it ain’t the same love…”

“Alright” is said to be taken from the forthcoming deluxe edition of 24kGoldn’s debut LP El Dorado, which originally saw 13 tracks with additional assists from DaBaby, Future, Swae Lee, and iann dior — the last of whom contributed to the chart-topping mega-hit “Mood.” A considerable success for the San Francisco star, the album landed within the top 25 of the Billboard 200 and earned 24kGoldn a well-deserved Gold certification.

Meanwhile, Quavo is still sailing off the release of Migos’ long-awaited third installment of their Culture series, which boasts 24 cuts and a slew of collaborations alongside Drake, Migos, Cardi B, Justin Bieber, Juice WRLD, Pop Smoke, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and more. That project peaked at the number two spot on the aforementioned chart, only falling behind Polo G’s well-received third album Hall of Fame.
