As the July 9 release date for his forthcoming USEE4YOURSELF project swiftly approaches, IDK kicks up the pace and unleashes another single “Peloton.” The new offering is a follow up of his Offset-assisted cut “Shoot My Shot.” On the new track, the PG County native glides over the soul sample about a girl he can’t get enough of:
It may get easy when she see I got a check, playin’ chess like check her/ I start the trigger when she lookin’ at my neck (Ooh, ooh) all she say is, “He next”/ She call a n***a Peloton, say she wanna ride the boy
She make a n***a ego go high tonight, I hope I don’t have to tell a lie tonight/ Yeah, so we can lie tonight/ Is he a fine-ass n***a? Or a waste-a-bitch-time-ass n***a? Uh-huh/ You said I was a lyin’-ass n***a
So far this year, IDK showed off his versatility by putting his own spin on two of today’s most popular tracks: “Back In Blood” by Pooh Shiesty and “Gravity” by Brent Faiyaz and DJ Dahi. After that, he delivered an impressive reimagination of Pharrell’s staple hit “Frontin’,” stationing himself in a studio with a live orchestra as he delivers the iconic lyrics.
IDK’s forthcoming USEE4YOURSELF project will follow his 2019 debut LP Is He Real?, which saw 14 tracks with additional assists from DMX, Pusha T, JID, Tyler, the Creator, Burna Boy, GLC, Lil Kymchii, Jerm, and Kapri Styles. Last year, he liberated the second installment of his well-received IDK & FRIENDS compilation series — this time, it acted as an official soundtrack to the Kevin Durant-produced Basketball County: In The Water, a film that was centered around basketball talent in Prince George’s County, Maryland. IDK & FRIENDS contained collaborations with the likes of Wale, Xanman, A$AP Ferg, Juicy J, PnB Rock, YungManny, and Rico Nasty over nine songs.
Be sure to press play on IDK’s brand new “Peloton” track.
