Today, 42 Dugg decided to bless his fans with a new body of work titled Free Dem Boyz, a dedication to his incarcerated homies that contains 19 tracks with additional features from Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Rylo Rodriguez, EST Gee, Fivio Foreign, Rowdy Rebel, and more. In addition to the album, the Detroit star also liberates a visual for the standout cut “Maybach,” a collaboration between him and Future that sees the rappers harmonizing about street scars and current wealth over production from G1, Chosen 1, and Yung Dee:
“Richie Rich, fuck her, then I leave, bitch, ain’t no, “Give me kiss,” all or nothin’, freak bitch call me Dugg and I don’t call her number, she finessin’, baby, I need a dime, baby, I need a, yeah, leave a message, dawg, you known for doggin’ hoes, bae, I can’t fuck all them hoes, take her shoppin’, she bе fly, Hermes, Chanel, and Prada, Gucci coat matchin’ my mama’s, ’21, brand nеw, no mileage…”
The accompanying clip comes courtesy of Jerry Production and is a lesson in expensive tastes, with Dugg and Pluto showing off literal Maybachs, gaudy jewelry, high-priced champagne, and beautiful women. Simply put, these artists and their respective crews are thriving post-quarantine.
Prior to Free Dem Boyz, 42 Dugg dropped the second installment of his Young & Turnt series last year, which saw 14 tracks with contributions from Lil Baby, Yo Gotti, and Babyface Ray. Months later, Young & Turnt, Vol. 2 received a deluxe upgrade, adding on nine more tracks with assists from DeJ Loaf, Moneybagg Yo, and more. In addition to his own work, Dugg has also provided verses on hit singles like Lil Baby’s “We Paid,” Yella Beezy’s “Solid,” Rylo Rodriguez’s “Walk,” DDG and OG Parker’s “Money Long,” and EST Gee’s “Members Only.”
