Soon, Gucci Mane will be unveiled his latest body of work Ice Daddy, his first official solo offering since 2019’s Woptober II. First, he delivers the first official single from the project titled “Shit Crazy,” a collaboration with Memphis rising star BIG 30. Produced by Twysted Genius and 30 Roc, the artists keep with the streets-to-success subject matter that they’re well-known for:
“I see these niggas hatin’, I ain’t losin’ sleep about it, though, members creep like TLC, .223 shells out the Jeep, no one gon’ take care of me the way that I take care of me, get booked in from security, your bodyguard ain’t scarin’ me/
Put your friend in therapy, you know I did it, barely live, askin’ me, ‘Take care of it,’ I squash it if I pay the bills, I don’t plan to take his gang to play, no, I don’t play with them, I don’t freepick niggas, when I beef, I show no favoritism/”
Courtesy of Omar The Director, the video sees Gucci Mane and BIG 30 flashing jewelry, money, and cars outside of what’s presumed to be Gucci’s lavish residence. Keeping a family first theme, close cohorts Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano make cameo appearances as well.
Last year, Gucci Mane formally introduced Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano, along with Roboy, K Shiday, Big Scarr, and Enchanting, as the new members of New 1017 via So Icy Gang, Vol. 1, a 19-track offering that also saw contributions from Tay Keith, Mulatto, Veeze, and Quentin Miller. 2020 also saw the hip hop veteran liberate the project So Icy Summer, a quasi-compilation of sorts with assists from Young Thug, Future, Lil Baby, 21 Savage, Young Nudy, Moneybagg Yo, and more.
Fans can press play on Gucci Mane and BIG 30’s “Shit Crazy” video below. Ice Daddy is set to make landfall June 18.
