Pooh Shiesty’s brother reportedly passed away following a battle with brain cancer.
According to Say Cheese TV, Tee Da P — who previously dropped a few of his own rap records — had been hospitalized for a while. He was receiving treatment for brain cancer, but he unfortunately succumbed to the fatal illness. The news of the death was said to be confirmed by Pooh and Tee’s father, Hot New Hip Hop reported.
The Memphis rapper has not addressed the situation, but he reportedly cancelled a recent show in Savannah, Georgia to spend some quality time with his family.
Pooh Shiesty — whose career started in 2019 — is already making his mark in the current hip hop scene.
His “Back in the Blood” collaboration with Lil Durk — which is featured on his highly praised debut mixtape, Shiesty Season — was recently certified gold. “ Been Certified. Now I Got The Plaque To Prove It,” he wrote of his latest accomplishment.
2021 has already proved to be a difficult one for a few celebrities, who like Pooh Shiesty, have recently lost a relative. Last month, Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, was tragically killed in a hit and run accident.
Days later, Jeezy revealed that his mother passed away. “My superhero. Feared nothing or no one. No obstacle or setbacks,” he wrote in a touching tribute. “One of the only people in the world I could trust. When I had nothing or no one, I had you mamma. You was hard on me. I thank you for that.”
