Last November, Dallas rapper MO3 was tragically killed — and bittersweet fashion, music from the late star has begun to rise to the surface. Today, fans get to check out an unreleased single from MO3 titled “Outside,” which features OG Bobby Billions and sees the collaborators on an introspective note while sending messages to detractors:
“Niggas know we stepping night and day, God know I’m stepping now and later, until It hurts it ain’t no mercy, thats just how we made, you hear that church up in my verses, cause thats just how I’m raised, I told God he gotta forgive me, Im insane, get down on my knees when Im in pain, tired of the rain on my name/”
Directed by Prophecy, the video shows much of MO3’s homegoing celebration, all of which is interspersed with his family, friends, and supporters mourning his passing. OG Bobby Billions can be spotted in the mix during his performance as well.
MO3’s last solo effort was 2019’s Osama, which boasted 19 tracks and a couple of assists from Jazze Pha and close collaborator Boosie Badazz. The following year, he teamed up with Boosie for the full-length Badazz MO3. Currently, his team is said to be putting the final touches on the posthumous body of work Shottaz 4 Eva.
As previously reported by REVOLT, Boosie revealed to Vlad TV that he wasn’t aware of the conflicts MO3 might have been dealing with prior to his transition:
“Mo3 never discussed no beef with me … We never discussed no rap beef. Never discussed another nigga rap beef, ever. No nigga I’ve never been around discussed another nigga rap beef. Even though I know niggas gettin’ it on cause these rappers got smoke everywhere. That’s just how it go. They caught my boy slippin’.”
