Dallas rapper Mo3 was reportedly shot and killed while driving on the freeway in his hometown.
According to Urban Islandz, the Shottaz Reloaded emcee was driving on a Dallas freeway when a car pulled up next to him and opened fire. The shooting caused commotion on the highway as multiple cars tried to get away from the shooting. Mo3’s car eventually crashed into the concrete median before coming to a complete stop.
Several graphic videos have surfaced across social media platforms showing a man lying on his back on the side of the highway receiving CPR.
Mo3 was signed to Boosie Badazz’s Bad Azz Music label. The two recently dropped a joint project together on Valentine’s Day titled Badazz MO3. Earlier this year, he spoke to Flaunt Magazine about how the two artists first crossed paths.
“Three years ago, in a mall,” he said. “He’s doing a signing or walkthrough at a shoe store. I had pulled up, we chopped it up. He put me on his show that night. After that, he flew me to his house. We made two songs for my album. I had a mixtape called 4 Indictments with Gangsta Grillz and DJ Drama. It’s been love ever since.”
This marks the second time that Mo3 was shot within a year. Last December, he was shot in the head, but survived. Moments after the shooting, he uploaded a video of himself to social media as he was bleeding from his wounds.
This news comes just a few days after hip hop lost King Von to gun violence in Atlanta, Georgia. The 26-year-old was fatally shot after getting into a physical altercation with another crew outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge. Timothy Leeks has been arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting.
The REVOLT team would like to send our thoughts and prayers to Mo3’s family and friends.
