Last month, Tee Grizzley dropped off the single — and matching visual for — “Robbery,” which vividly depicted him seeking revenge on someone that relieved him of his jewelry following a night in the strip club. Surprisingly, the song ended with him killing the wrong person, forcing him to kidnap the woman who he used in his attempt for retribution.
Today, the Detroit star delivers “Robbery Part Two,” which seamlessly picks up from where “Robbery” left off. Now with the woman he kidnapped, Grizzley retrieves the information needed to find his soon-to-be-victim, and things get deeper and darker from there:
“We ride past, it’s 20 niggas, he got on my chain, he call her phone like ‘it’s a nigga in the car bitch I just seen him, don’t ride up this fuckin’ block again or we gon’ beam him,’ I snatch the phone and I’m like, ‘bitch I’m killing all you niggas”/
He like, ‘you know where we at, pussy, fall through nigga!’ I’m like ‘bet,’ hit the hood, grab the bros, grab the tecs, extra clips, couple vest, niggas dying on the set…/”
Directed by BenMarc, the clip for “Robbery Part Two” brings Grizzley’s violent lyrics to cinematic reality. Following his and his crew successful attack against his robber, things take a turn when he finds himself in chart — with the women he kidnapped as his witness. Simply put, fans of Grizzley will definitely be looking forward to subsequent episodes of the “Robbery” series.
Last year, Tee Grizzley liberated his latest body of work The Smartest, which saw 17 tracks and additional assists from Hit-Boy, Big Sean, Meek Mill, Lil Baby, Lil Keed, Queen Naija, and the Detroit Youth Choir. More recently, he released the heartfelt, emotionally charged “Late Night Calls,” a message to his recently re-incarcerated brother Baby Grizzley.
