Presumably, Benny The Butcher and his team are celebrating the Buffalo Bills recent win over the Indianapolis Colts, pushing them into the NFL Divisional round of the playoffs against the Baltimore Ravens. This week, Benny unveils a theme song of sorts titled “Bills Mafia Anthem,” which sees him representing his hometown team to the fullest:
“You know who the beast in the AFC East, we gon’ grind this thing out for 17 weeks, you hatin’ on them Bills, then you way off, talk is cheap, meet us in the playoffs/
Game day, you know we goin’ off, got your team captain shakin’ at the coin toss, we say mafia, that mean family to me, ‘cause we stand with the team, best fans in the league/”
Fans can even see Benny The Butcher and his crew performing the track at Bills Stadium, which is sure to get fellow followers of the team hype before their next playoff game.
2020 was a pretty big year for Benny The Butcher, as he fed the culture with one of the best projects that year with Burden of Proof, a collaborative effort with Hit-Boy that saw 12 tracks and additional features from Rick Ross, Freddie Gibbs, Big Sean, Lil Wayne, Dom Kennedy, Queen Naija, and Griselda cohorts Westside Gunn and Conway The Machine. Last year also saw him teaming up with DJ Drama to introduce his Black Soprano Family collective on the mixtape Da Respected Sopranos.
Unfortunately, 2020 wasn’t all positive for Benny The Butcher — back in November, the rapper was shot during an apparent robbery attempt in Houston. As previously reported by REVOLT, Benny revealed the unfortunate consequences of said shooting:
“You know me, my shit is good. My shit copacetic. My shit don’t work… Let n***as know, my shit don’t work. My foot don’t work. My leg is healed … I hate saying that shit but I know some people wanna know.”
