Jim Jones shared the deluxe version of El Capo back in November, but has now decided the timing is just right to deliver the official music video for “Election.” The visual, directed by Jim Jones and WillC of Street Heat, sees Jim Jones and Juelz Santana iced out in their luxurious car while Jones takes care of the first verse:
Lamborghini all Black just like my history month. Leathers with LVs I put that shit in the front. Thottie ridin’ shotty like that bitch got a pump. That FN on my waist got a kick when it jump, chump.
The El Capo project originally contained 16 cuts and a healthy roster of features from names like of Trav, Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Cam’ron, Fabolous, Curren$y, and Jadakiss. He also dropped off the socially and politically charged numbers “The People,” “Election,” and reunited with the Diplomats in the music video for the Diplomatic Ties standout “By Any Means,” then shared a music video for his Dave East-assisted cut “Pardon My Thoughts.”
In addition to El Capo (Deluxe), 2020 has seen Jones providing featured verses on dope cuts like Grafh’s “Customer,” Philthy Rich’s “Miami Quarantining,” Millyz’s “Heightened Senses,” Vado’s “Checkmate,” Tsu Surf’s “Careful Who You Love,” and DJ Kay Slay’s “Man Down.” In more recent news, Jim Jones tapped in with French Montana to appear in French’s “Too Late” visual off of CB5.
Juelz Santana dropped his 2020 singles “23 & 1” and “Pink Eagle” back in February, the latter track containting features from his fellow New York spitters Jim Jones and Dave East. The following month, he unleashed his #FREESANTANA project, which is equipped with 10 tracks and appearances from A Boogie Wit da Hoodie, 2 Chainz, Lil Wayne, Belly, Dave East, and Jim Jones.
