Just last week, SAINt JHN delivered his While The World Was Burning album, which boasts an impressive roster of assists including names like Lil Uzi Vert, Kanye West, Future, JID, 6lack, and Kehlani. The Brooklyn star returns today with a visual for “Monica Lewinsky, Election Year,” which features DaBaby and A Boogie Wit da Hoodie. On the song, SAINt JHN opens the track with a reference of the infamous White House intern:
She’s my Monica Lewinsky. She gon’ bust it right here, ‘cause it’s risky. She got a code like DaVinci. Only gotta text one time, “Did you miss me?”. She gon’ want to resent me, ‘cause me and her best friend got history. She got the walk of the century. Girl, you really got some kind of intrigue. I don’t want no smoke. I don’t wanna learn how to drive in the Rari’
The new video follows the recently released visuals for “Sucks To Be You,” “Gorgeous,” “Roses (Remix),” and “Ransom.” Prior to that, he dropped his sophomore offering, Ghetto Lenny’s Love Songs, in 2019, which contained collaborations alongside Meek Mill, Lil Baby, and Lenny Kravitz.
In a recent sit down with Complex, SAINt JHN discussed what kept him going in the industry:
“I know how slow the world is to new ideas. We are all resistant to things that force us to change or to grow. Change is usually uncomfortable, and it’s a slow process. So if I’m the guy that I think I am, and I’m making the music that I think I’m making, then it would make sense that it wouldn’t happen right away. If the bar is raised, then people will have to be told that the bar is raised. They’ve got to be comfortable with the new standard, and that’s going to take time.”
