Nicki Minaj has announced an upcoming autobiographical docuseries, which is coming soon to HBO Max. The Queen rapper didn’t share the series’ title or release date, but did hop on Instagram to reveal that it will offer fans a “raw” and “unfiltered” look at her life.
“I’m very excited to finally share with you guys that my docuseries is coming to HBO Max!” she said on Friday (Nov. 20). “It’s gonna give you guys a raw, unfiltered look at my personal life and my professional journey and I can’t wait to share it with you.”
“Make sure you guys follow HBO Max, HBO Max Pop and BRON Studios to keep updated on everything that’s going on,” she added. “I’ll see you soon!”
In the post’s caption, Minaj shared more about her decision to partner with HBO Max for the docuseries.
“I am beyond grateful & excited to share this news with you guys today,” she wrote. “I couldn’t be more thrilled to have HBO MAX on board to help me tell my story in this delicate & memorable way. A way that my fans will love forever. This doc is next level. I can promise you that.”
Friday also marked the 10-year anniversary of Minaj’s debut album, Pink Friday. Earlier this week, the New York native teased a “virtual celebration” to mark the special milestone, which turned out to be a new deluxe version of the album.
Pink Friday: The Complete Edition sees eight bonus tracks, including an alternate version of “Roman’s Revenge,” which features Lil Wayne instead of Eminem. Prior to the release, the songs were only available on the album’s international editions.
Minaj also dropped a new collection of anniversary merchandise, along with the news about her docuseries.
“Happy 10 year Anniversary #PinkFriday,” she wrote in a post. “Thank you guys for the support you showed this album. So grateful. Love you.”
