Nicki Minaj has given birth to her first baby. According to TMZ, the rap superstar and her husband Kenneth Petty welcomed their new bundle of joy in Los Angeles on Wednesday (Sept. 30). So far, Nicki has not announced the baby’s gender or name.

The Queens native first announced her pregnancy back in July with a series of glamorous maternity portraits by famed photographer David LaChappelle.

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude,” she captioned one picture. “Thank you all for the well wishes.”

In October, Nicki married Kenneth, her childhood friend. The couple started dating publicly back in December of 2018 and filed for a marriage license the following August.

“We did get our marriage license,” the “Anaconda” rapper confirmed during an episode of her Beats 1 Radio show. “I think I have what I was striving for — just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything.”

Although the couple got hitched with a secret ceremony, Nicki previously told The Shade Room that they plan to host a larger wedding service in the future.

“You know when you’re a little girl and you want this big beautiful wedding? I used to think I was one of those girls… I always wanted the fairytale,” she told the outlet. “But then the things that used to matter to you don’t matter as much because I remember wanting those things with people, where real love wasn’t there.”

“So, now I feel like now that everything has finally lined up and matched up, being that I’m madly in love with this man. He’s also my best friend [and] the things that used to matter to me before, don’t matter as much now,” she explained.
