Just days after King Von was fatally shot outside a club in Atlanta, Georgia, T.I. shared a message to those who bring their beefs to his hometown.
The self-proclaimed “King of the South” posted the message to his Instagram account on Monday (Nov. 9). “Atlanta is a beautiful progressive city filled with Black excellence,” he wrote. “We uplift each other & win together. Stop coming here to kill each other. That shit is played out. – Management.” Additionally, the “Whatever You Like” emcee captioned the post, “Handle YOUR beefs in YOUR city. Thx in advance.”
On Friday (Nov. 6), REVOLT reported that King Von was fatally shot after getting into an altercation outside of Atlanta’s Monaco Hookah Lounge. Another man was also killed in the shooting. Von’s manager was shot, but survived and was recently released from the hospital.
Surveillance video of the deadly shooting surfaced on social media. It showed a group of men scattering outside the club after getting into a physical altercation. Someone then started shooting. Von, who was wearing a white T-shirt, was seen lying in the middle of the street after sustaining gunshot wounds. Moments later, he is driven away from the scene in a black vehicle.
A lot of details surrounding his death are still unknown, but on Saturday (Nov. 7), 22-year-old Timothy Leeks was charged with murder for the shooting. “Mr. Leeks is in police custody at Grady Hospital where he is undergoing treatment for a gunshot wound,” Marla Jean Rooker, a spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department, told AJC.com. “The homicide of Bennett is closed with this arrest.”
T.I.’s message was met with mixed reviews from fans in the comments. Instagram user @papipistola218 wrote, “Nah that shouldn’t be ur caption King. It should be more like handle Y’ALL business like grown men, talk about Y’ALL shyt wat ever differences they mite be, but STOP killing one another that ain’t it. HIGHER MANAGEMENT.”
“He speaking correct and I’m from Chicago,” wrote Instagram user @kingboola. “Listen to your old heads.”
