Nicki Minaj has announced the gender of her first child. The big reveal arrived on Thursday (Oct. 15) when the rap-star took to Instagram to share some sweet congratulatory letters she’s received from celebrity friends — including Beyoncé and Kanye West. In the post’s caption, Nicki revealed that she and her husband Kenneth Petty have welcomed a baby boy.

“Thank you to Queen B, Kim & Ye, Riccardo Tisci, Winnie, Karol & everyone who sent well wishes during this time,” Nicki wrote. “It meant the world to me. I am so grateful & in love with my son. Madly in love. My favorite liddo boy in the whole wide world.”

One pictured note from Bey read, “Onika, welcome to motherhood. God bless you and your family.”

Another message from Kanye West and Kim Kardashian said, “Congrats! We love you!”

“Congratulations sis, happy for the healthy delivery of your first bundle of joy!” model Winnie Harlow wrote to the new mom. “Sending you blessings and prayers on this new journey.”

Nicki reportedly gave birth to her son on Sept. 30 in Los Angeles. Earlier this month, her mother, Carol Maraj, confirmed the good news on Instagram.

“Thank you Lord for Blessing my daughter [Nicki Minaj] with a beautiful bundle of joy!” her mom wrote in a congratulatory post. “You have always been a Blessing to myself and your family, and now you have received one of the best Blessings from God. ‘Children are a gift from the Lord. They are a reward from Him.’ Psalms 127:3 #glamma let us rejoice!!!!”

Nicki announced that she and her husband were expecting their first child together back in July with a series of glamorous maternity portraits.

“Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude,” she wrote on Instagram at the time. “Thank you all for the well wishes.”

The gender reveal adds on to an already exciting day for the Barbs, as just hours ago Nicki announced a new collaboration with Sada Baby. Their “Whole Lotta Choppas (Remix)” is due at midnight.
