Bryson Tiller fans have been awaiting a new project from the singer, and they are not amused by the thought of him holding onto any unreleased music.
On Wednesday (Sept. 2), the “Don’t” hitmaker tweeted a photo of a man carrying a huge red Jansport bookbag. In front of the man was the word “me,” while the bag was labeled “unreleased songs,” insinuating Tiller was holding on to a heap of music that has yet to drop. The caption of the tweet was a smiling emoji.
Tiller’s supporters did not take the joke lightly, commenting under the tweet with pleas for new music, making the singer’s name a trending topic.
“Drop some of them songs…you don’t wanna hurt your back bro!” one Twitter user wrote to which Tiller responded, “True, true.”
Another tweet read, “Bryson i’m tired i need some of your music so cmon now release some.”
A third user said he wanted new music because he’s played out Tiller’s old tracks. “Bryson please… it’s been years man i’ve been listening to no longer friends and teach me a lesson for too long,” he wrote.
One of Tiller’s fans refused to entertain Tiller’s shenanigans, penning the tweet, “Bryson gon drop an album when he’s ready lol. Im not even gonna let him stress me out no more.”
After letting his supporters speak their piece, the singer followed up with another tweet that read, “Lool ok all jokes aside, when should i release a New Album?”
Tiller’s sophomore album True to Self was released three years ago in 2017, but he has not gone completely under the radar. Earlier this year, he dropped singles “For Nothing” featuring Lil Yatchy and “Slept on You.” He’s also provided features for the likes of Wale, H.E.R. and Summer Walker, while being a full-time father to his two daughters.
Tiller has reportedly been working on his third album Serenity, but there is no word on when that project will be released.
