Weeks ago, when Megan Thee Stallion broke the news that she’d “suffered gunshot wounds” and had undergone surgery to remove the bullets in her feet, she expressed she would be focusing on her recovery so she could resume her normal lifestyle and get “back to making music as soon as possible.” It turns out she was not playing!
Following the announcement, she and Cardi B released their chart-topping single “WAP” with a video that also went on to do numbers. Now, the Houston rapper is preparing to perform a few of her songs in an upcoming virtual performance produced by Live Nation.
The company announced the show in an Instagram post on Saturday (Aug. 22). “Hot Girl Meg @theestallion takes the stage August 29th at 6pm EST/11pm BST for a live virtual concert!” the caption read before directing fans to the link in the bio to purchase their $15 tickets. “Drop a💎 if you’ll be watching!”
Hot Girl Meg also alerted fans of her concert. “HOTTIES!!! I’m doing a live stream performance on AUGUST THE 29TH,” she wrote in her caption. “IF YOU’RE A REAL HOTTIE GO GET YOUR TICKETS RIGHT NOW! LINK IN MY BIO.”
Right before the Coronavirus pandemic forced people to quarantine, Megan released her EP Suga, which included her popular TikTok single, “Savage.” Fans and a few celebrities occupied their time doing the Savage Challenge, a dance choreographed by Keara “Keke” Wilson. Then, fellow Houston native Beyonce hopped on the remix and helped boost the track to the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. A few more moves were added to the dance while proceeds from the song went toward the Bread of Life, a disaster relief organization that provided meals to Houston families during the pandemic.
With next week’s performance, Meg will continue the quarantine entertainment with creative education from choreographer/dancer JaQuel Knight. How many of the Hotties will be tuning in?
