It’s amazing how Atlanta continues to birth artists that end up as the next frontrunners within hip hop. While Migos, Young Thug, Lil Baby, Gunna, and a plethora of others enjoy life at the top, Bankhead-bred newcomer Babyy Chris 2K is looking to follow in their footsteps. Over the weekend, he dropped an updated version of his latest single “No Harm,” which now sees Louisiana star Kevin Gates in place of 2K Foozie. Produced by Cicero and Mike Mixer, the two collaborators rap about jewelry, expensive threads, women, and more that one would be able to find living the lavish lifestyle:
“Jump off top the ropes like John Cena, and I brought the gun just like arenas, basketball balling just like Kobe, bad yellow b***h, her name is Tina/
And I got another b***h, she tiny, when she see the racks she start to whinin’, I’m just tryna score just like a basketball, encrusted my watches with the diamonds/
Encrusted my belt it got the rubies now, ooh, chop the top in the summertime, ooh, hold up, they forgot, let me rewind it/
Probably on vacation in the tropics now, Louis, my flip flops, I walk like titans, and the .40 on me strike like lightning, my mink a gorilla and it’s biting…/”
Via press release, Babyy Chris 2K explained how the track came together:
“Working with Gates was big for me. Being a new artist, you don’t always receive looks like this, so having that co-sign makes it feel as if I’m on the right path. At the end of the day, No Harm represents a typical day in my Rockstar lifestyle and having Gates on it is the tip of the iceberg.”
Fans can press play on “No Harm” below, released via Reckless Republic/Island Records. Babyy Chris 2K forthcoming EP — titled 1000 B.C., or Before Chris — is said to be on the way.
