As he has promised for the entire week, August Alsina delivers another daily dose of his forthcoming album The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy. This time, fans get to check out “Deliver Us,” which features Darrel Walls and acts as a prayer for strength during troubled times, something that many of us can certainly use at this very moment:
“Give me the strength when I don’t know what else to do, show me the way whenever I’m confused/
Keep me straight when I refuse, be a light so I won’t never lose/yeah, I came up in Hell, where you can lose your life and no one’ll tell/
Everybody for themselves, only way to escape it is by yourself, had to get out my own, leave the only place I’ve known/
It was my home but I felt like I didn’t belong, so in the flesh I was gone, on my way, ayy, ayy, people told me stay away, ayy, ayy…/”
As with each single release this week, fans can also check out the latest installment of Alsina’s documentary series stateofEMERGEncy: The Rise Of August Alsina, which gives the viewer a closer look into the various health issues that have sidelined the Louisiana star over the past several years.
Press play on both “Deliver Us” and the aforementioned docu-series episode below. You can also check out the full tracklisting for The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy, which sees additional appearances from Yo Gotti, Tink, Juicy J, and Lil Wayne.
