Another day, another dope drop from August Alsina. Today, he unveils another new single titled “Sincerely,” which will appear on his forthcoming release The Product III: stateofEMERGEncy. The track sees the New Orleans singer speaking directly to his nieces Chaylin, Amaiya, and Kayden, who he’s been helping to raise since the passing of his sister Chandra in 2018 due to cancer:

“Dear Chay, seems like it was just the other day, you was a baby, in my arms and soon you gon’ be all grown and it’s so crazy/

I wish I could turn back the clock, or better yet make it stop, and give you all that I’ve got/

Like every guy’s gonna tell you that you’re beautiful, remember I would tell you first, so it ain’t new to you/

I know in a while, it’s gon’ be hard for me to get through to you, you gon’ think that you know it all, but that ain’t gon’ be the truth…/”

The heartfelt “Sincerely” follows the previous releases “Work To Do,” “Rounds,” and “NOLA,” which will also appear on August Alsina aforementioned third studio LP. In addition, August has also liberated the fourth installment of his documentary series stateofEMERGEncy: The Rise of August. Titled “What Is Love,” the latest episode sees Alsina continuing to connect with his family and friends around his old stomping grounds.

Recently, he dropped off a powerful message to his fans via social media, which reflects on how he’s endured his own personal struggles:

“Do Not Be Dismayed By The Battles Of Your Heart, Your Mind, Or Your Flesh.. For They Are There To Develop You & Keep You Humble Before The Lord. For You Are Thoroughly Equipped For Every Good Work, & You Will Not Fail In The Assignment On Your Life.”
