With Donda finally available for fans to hear, many have already listened to the star-studded features on the 27-track album. The project includes appearances from the likes of Baby Keem, JAY-Z, Westside Gunn, Shenseea and more. Though it’s not clear at what point of the process the majority of the artists were added, the members of The LOX were asked to join Kanye West as he made the finishing touches to the record.

Recently, while at Ice Cube’s Big 3 league championship game, Jadakiss revealed that The LOX and Ye collab on Donda came about after the New York rap group wowed fans at their Verzuz battle against Dipset.

“Someone from ‘Ye’s camp actually reached out to my older son,” Kiss told HipHopDX. “Then ‘Ye called us the next day after Verzuz, he hit me the next morning. We flew straight there (Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium) and went straight to the studio and knocked the song out. Then went and rested and came back the next day and went to the event and flew back.”

The bars dropped by Jada, Sheek Louch and Styles P can be heard alongside Jay Electronica and Larry Hoover on “Jesus Lord Pt. 2.” Unfortunately, however, not every artist who anticipated making the final cut of Donda was featured on the album.

Soulja Boy and Chris Brown took to social media to vent their frustrations about being removed from the project and leaked the versions of the songs they recorded verses for. Chris said Ye was “tweakin,” while Big Draco listed a few things things the Chicago star could do to make up for his exclusion from the album.

“I’m finna be at this shit for life,” Soulja said. “Bitch I’m finna be mad a month later, a year later, for life. I feel like a nigga just played with me. Nigga got to apologize to me, he got personally apologize to me! He got to send me a free pair of Yeezys, he got to hook me up with one of the Kardashians…he got to do a lot of shit for me not be mad.”
