A$AP Rocky and PacSun have just joined forces, and Rocky has made history in the process.
Today (July 8), the brand announces that the Testing rapper has been appointed the guest artistic director for the lifestyle apparel brand. He is the first person the brand has given such a title.
“This partnership is special to me because it’s a collaboration that combines my roots, A$AP Worldwide, and some of the most respected heritage brands that have roots in both the sportswear and lifestyle worlds,” Rocky says in a press release. “Together with PacSun, we will be releasing several limited-edition collections that are both nostalgic and forward at the same time.”
For his role, Rocky will be responsible for overseeing “designer collaborations, brand campaigns, in-store activations” in addition to supporting launches in PacSun’s downtown Los Angeles and SOHO stores. Rocky is also set to drop collaborations with Vans as part of the partnership.
His first capsule collection will include “three styles of the Old Skool silhouette, consisting of black canvas, white leather, and silver reflective colorways and materials and focused on very particularly executed flame embroidery.”
This venture is just the latest way for Rocky to showcase his love of fashion, something he’s been doing since he first rose to prominence 10 years ago. Alfred Chang, who operates as Co-CEO of PacSun, recognizes the way Rocky’s fashion sensibilities make him a natural person to collaborate with.

There is no word on when the first Rocky and PacSun collaboration will officially drop, but be on the lookout.
