Update:

On Wednesday (Sept. 2) morning, A$AP Nast tweeted that Ferg still is in A$AP Mob. “THE TRAP LORD WAS NOT AND WILL NOT BE KICKED OUT OF A$AP FALSE NEWS EVERYBODY GO HOME NOW,” he said. We’ll see how this story continues to unfold.

Original story:

Shocking news has just come out of the A$AP Mob camp. On Tuesday (Sept. 1), it was revealed that recording artist A$AP Ferg, one of the most prominent figures in the New York-based rap crew, is no longer a part of it.

According to the Mob’s founder, A$AP Illz, there was some friction between the two of them. So, Illz unfortunately kicked him out of the collective. In a series of IG stories, the founder made the major announcement.

A$AP Mob was created in 2007 by Illz and A$AP Bari. The following year, A$AP Rocky and Ferg were added. Since then, the latter rappers dropped a number of chart-topping singles and albums that gained them fame and notoriety over the years.

This isn’t the only recent news of a rapper leaving a group that has surfaced. A couple of weeks ago, Cordae left the YBN crew, and dropped the YBN from the beginning of his name as a result. YBN Nahmir, the founder of this crew, revealed the announcement on social media. “They left this YBN sh*t in the gutter,” he said at the time. “Remember that. I’ll turn it up myself.”

Ferg has yet to make a statement about his departure from A$AP Mob. Nevertheless, he’s been on his grind lately, as he gears up for the release of his next album. Already dropping singles like “Value,” as well as “Move Ya Hips” featuring Nicki Minaj and MadeinTYO, the artist most recently released the visual for “No Ceilings,” which features Lil Wayne and Jay Gwuapo.

We’re not sure about the release date for his next LP or have any details about it at all, at this time. However, being that it’s going to include music from the Harlem rapper, we have no doubt that it’s going to be heat. Everything he does is.
