50 Cent continues showing love to DaBaby.
Earlier today (July 16), Fif used his Instagram account to post photos from the premiere for Starz’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan, which went down in New York City last night. In one of the photos, he posts up with DaBaby, and in the caption for the post, he shows love to the rapper.
“Raising kanan premier[e] was so lit last night,” the G-Unit founder wrote in the caption. “Everybody came through. Dababy is a problem, I gotta keep him from killing you ni66a’s. I don’t know why it’s funny, but he real wit da shit.”
This post comes just days after North Carolina rapper announced that he’d been able to link up with 50 and take down some advice.
“Somebody I been studying for a MINUTE lent me a few hours of his time today,” he wrote. “Niggas so scared to let me in the room they fucked around & let me end up in the room w/ @50cent. BIG MISTAKE! Beyond grateful for the game. Couldn’t have come from a better source. Now watch me put this shit to use.”
Within that same day, 50 noticed the post and declared his intentions to give DaBaby as much game as he can. “I lost Pop [Smoke] before he could get it, This one already got it and he listen,” 50 Cent penned in the comment section. “I’m a teach him all the mistakes I made, so he can be better than me. THIS IS HIP HOP!”
50 Cent and DaBaby’s new connection makes sense for multiple reasons. One, like DaBaby, 50 Cent came into the game with swaggering machismo and a knack for making hits. They’ve both also faced a lot of controversy in their day. So, with that in mind, it seems like a classic example of rap mentorship. Check out 50 Cent’s new shoutout to DaBaby below.
