Roddy Ricch is planning to release a new single this week.

On Wednesday (June 2), the “High Fashion” emcee took to Instagram to reveal the release date for “Late At Night.” He shared a photo of himself with a fresh haircut and captioned the post, “6/4 freaky Friday.” He also shared the cover art for the new single, which solely consists of a full moon.

Back in May, Roddy shared a snippet of the new DJ Mustard-produced track on Twitter. In the 26-second clip he sings, “Late at night, kiss me in the morning, late at night.”

Roddy is coming off a hell of a year following his December 2019 release of Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, which made Billboard history as the first debut rap album to return to No. 1 in 15 years.

The album featured guest appearances from Meek Mill, Ty Dolla $ign, Lil Durk and A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. Following its original release, the LP debuted at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200. One month later, the album returned to No. 1, making it the first time a debut rap album reemerged to the top since The Game’s The Documentary album in 2005.

Earlier this year, he spoke to Complex about his forthcoming album. “With my next project, I’m going to be more vulnerable,” he said. “I’m going to bring fans into my world more. I’m learning the balance. Like, OK, I’m not on Instagram, so I feel like I’ve got to bring them into my life more so they can feel me a little more.”

“Coming off one of the biggest albums I could’ve done, I feel like taking them back to the basics with me,” Roddy added, hinting that his next project could be Feed Tha Streets 3. “There’s all the old fans I had when I first started rapping, and these new fans that I got since the big album and Grammys and everything. So, I want to bridge the gap between my old fans and my new fans. That’s what I’m on a mission to do with this next situation that I’m working on.”
