DJ Mustard revealed that he tested positive for Coronavirus.
On Wednesday (Dec. 30), the multi-platinum selling producer, who recently got married to his girlfriend Chanel Thierry, announced the news through an Instagram post on his story. “Tested positive for COVID,” he wrote. “Send a prayer up for ya boy…” He did not share any additional details regarding his health.
Mustard joins the long lists of celebrities who have went public with their diagnosis of COVID-19 this year. Jeremih was recently released from a Chicago, Illinois hospital after battling it out with the illness for a month and a half. At one point, he was on a ventilator in the intensive care unit.
“I had a tube down my throat for about a week and a half,” the “Birthday Sex” singer said. “I was really like in a dream; I woke up two times and all I remember seeing is a white light.”
The highly anticipated Verzuz battle between Ashanti and Keyshia Cole had to be rescheduled to Jan. 9 after the “Rock Wit U (Awww Baby)” singer was diagnosed with Coronavirus. Last week, she updated fans on her health. “Hey y’all. Just wanted to say thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers,” she captioned a photo of herself smiling. “I’ve gotten so many calls, texts, emails and DMs checking in on me and my family and I’m super grateful for that. I’m feeling much better.”
She continued, “Thanking God that my mom is out of the hospital and my dad is doing well. Needless to say, this will be a very different Christmas.. but still filled with gratitude and love. Thanks Bink for dropping off the herbal teas. Merry Christmas Eve.”
