Twitter exploded yesterday when they got the update on Tessica Brown a.k.a #GorillaGlueGirl. After she went to the emergency room for medical assistance, Chance The Rapper wished Brown well.

On Saturday (Feb. 6), “The Return” rapper hit up his Twitter timeline to praise the overwhelming support the Internet has for Brown after a video of her describing her sticky situation went viral this week. A month after she substituted her Göt2b Glued spray for Gorilla Glue, Brown decided to seek medical treatment at a hospital in an effort to remove the product from her hair. Once she gave her followers the update, the 27-year-old rapper chimed in.

“I’m glad mfs actually supporting her thru this,” Chance wrote. “When I watched the video the second time it was hard to laugh cause I could tell shorty genuinely didn’t know she had put one of the worlds most powerful adhesives in her shit. I hope she recovers well #gorillagluegirl.”

Chance wasn’t the only celebrity to speak up for Brown. As #GorillaGlueGirl spread across the Twittersphere, thousands of positive messages and prayers for Brown came pouring in. Most users sympathized with her while others like “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin offered moral support.

“So many are being dismissive of #gorillagluegirl,” Hostin said. “Given the history of how black women are targeted and still battle the pervasive belief that our natural hair is unprofessional, unkempt, or in some way “a statement” pls show her some grace and understanding.”

Brown is still at home continuing her efforts to remove the Gorilla Glue from her hair. At the end of the video she posted to social media on Saturday, we can see someone assist Brown with applying the product she got from the hospital to her head. As of this report, she has not provided any other visual update.
