Megan Thee Stallion and fans are loving Yung Miami’s new solo single, “Rap Freaks.” The track arrived on Friday (Oct. 29) with production by Don D the Producer and King Wizard and marks the Florida native’s first solo song. Miami previously appeared without her City Girls cohort J.T. on the single “Strub Tha Ground” alongside Quavo.
While Twitter users agreed “Rap Freaks” is a bop, there’s one line Megan has singled out as her favorite. Miami had Thee Hot Girl cackling on Friday morning after rhyming “roaches” with “buenas noches.”
“This b*tch Miami said I’m gon’ put his *ss to sleep, buenas noches,” she said in an Instagram Live video, unable to contain her laughter. “Why would she say that!? This b*tch Miami rhymed ‘roaches’ with ‘buenas noches.’ This girl’s really funny.”
Miami definitely seemed to be having fun on “Rap Freaks,” as the song calls out several fellow rappers, including Megan.
“Drive the boat, sit on Megan face, ride it like a stallion,” Miami spits.
Megan and Yung Miami have been friends for a while, with City Girls appearing on Megan’s Good News track, “Do It On The Tip.” A video of the “Savage” spitter and Yung Miami playfully kissing each other after the 2021 BET Hip Hop Awards also went viral on social media earlier this year.
On Friday, Megan also shared new music in the form of her freestyle compilation project, Something For Thee Hotties. As promised, the 21-track offering included freestyles plus some new songs.
“My gift to my hotties 10/29,” Megan previously announced. “Freestyles y’all been asking for plus a few unreleased songs from my archives to hold y’all over for the rest of the year.”
Prior to Yung Miami’s solo track, City Girls’ J.T. also hopped on Summer Walker’s “Ex For A Reason” earlier this month. The song is expected to land on the latter’s sophomore album, Still Over It.
