Megan Thee Stallion is allegedly collaborating with Popeyes — and the announcement was made by someone on TikTok.
On Wednesday (Oct. 13), the fast-food chain began trending on Twitter after TikToker @rugano_ shared the box for the alleged forthcoming partnership, which read, “The Chicken Sandwich with Megan Thee Stallion ‘Hottie Sauce.’” So far, neither the Good News rapper nor Popeyes has confirmed or denied the rumors, but that didn’t keep fans from talking about it.
Twitter user @baeshar_who tweeted, “Bro at this point all fast food employees should go on strike lmao they can’t keep doing this to you guys man Popeyes employees are about to go through hell.”
“Megan Thee Stallion is collabing with Popeyes to sell a chicken sandwich with hottie sauce… the lines are going to be horrible,” wrote @KisseslikeKay.
Social media user @itscMoore tweeted, “This Megan/Popeyes collab is about to go CRAZY! I can see the commercial now. ‘Hey hotties! It’s your girl, Megan Thee Stallion, and I’m bringing some Houston heat to these New Orleans streets AH!’ Me trying some Hottie Sauce…”
If this collaboration is true, it will be Meg’s latest following her new partnership with Nike. As REVOLT previously reported, the “Cry Baby” emcee is part of the brand’s “Play New” campaign, which serves as an inspiration to young women everywhere.
In the new ad, Meg gave viewers a peek into her Houston childhood. Because she was so tall, people used to tell her that she should play volleyball, basketball or run track. She tried different sports, but none of it was for her. Eventually, the “Cash Shit” MC found her true passion — music.
Meg then described her hectic work schedule, which includes training five days a week, 12-hour dance rehearsals and performing in front of thousands of people — while squatting for half the show. “People like to tell us what we can and can’t do, but we ain’t hearing that. Real Hot Girls know no one can define us, but us,” she said in the ad.
Fans can download the Nike Training Club (NTC) App to get a workout session with Meg and trainer Tara Nicolas. They can also purchase the different looks that she wore.
