Drake celebrated his son Adonis’ 4th birthday over the weekend with an extravagant race car-themed party. The 34-year-old superstar documented the festivities on Instagram with two posts on Sunday (Oct. 10) that showed the father and son were all smiles.
In one picture, Drake and Adonis made matching hand gestures and posed in front of black-and-white checkered balloons and a sign that read, “Adonis races into 4.” Drizzy captioned the post, “TEACHA. MORE LIFE KID,” a reference to his 2017 mixtape, More Life.
In a second post, the father and son smiled in a photo booth with text that read, “Happy 4th birthday Adonis.” According to Drake’s Instagram Story, the party also boasted Bugs Bunny from Space Jam: A New Legacy, whom Adonis adorably led throughout the event. In the comments under Drake’s posts; Offset, Nicki Minaj, Summer Walker, Fat Joe and more wished the tiny tot a happy birthday.
Drake and Sophie Brussaux welcomed Adonis on Oct. 11, 2017. Last year, Drizzy shared Adonis’ first day of school with fans, posting a picture of the toddler and writing, “First Day Of School… The World Is Yours kid.”
In April, Drake also shared a video of Adonis playing basketball, followed by a clip of the toddler reacting to LeBron James’ greatest plays.
Drake previously spoke with Lil Wayne on the latter’s Young Money Radio show about getting more comfortable posting pictures and videos of Adonis on social media.
“I want to be able to go places with my son and share memories with my son. I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a celebrity that I got to make everybody live under this blanket,” he said at the time. “I just wanted to free myself of that.”
Drizzy’s sixth studio album Certified Lover Boy was recently dethroned from the top of the Billboard 200 after enjoying a record-breaking release. See his posts from Adonis’ 4th birthday party on Instagram below.
