On Saturday (May 2), news surfaced that Eminem’s home intruder tried tracking him down prior to the break-in that occurred last month.

According to TMZ, the intruder, Matthew David Hughes, was arrested in June 2019 for trespassing on two properties as he searched for the Detroit rapper. At the time, Hughes allegedly woke up a homeowner in Rochester Hills after he threw a rock at a window around 2 a.m. After police arrived at the scene, Hughes fled but later returned and said that he was “looking for his brother, Marshall.”

Following his arrest, Hughes was “sentenced to 90 days in jail and fines totaling nearly $1,400 but failed to pay by the deadline.” As a result, Hughes was served with an arrest warrant.

As REVOLT readers might recall, Hughes was apprehended last month after he came face to face with Eminem inside his living room. At the moment, Hughes is currently facing two felony charges including first-degree home invasion and malicious destruction of a building. He is also being held in Macomb County Jail with a bond of $51,400.

More recently, the “Stan” musician hosted a three-hour radio show titled “Music to Be Quarantined By.” The playlist included music that Em has been jamming to while social distancing. The artists ranged from Tupac, Beastie Boys, MC Lyte, Mobb Deep, Nas, The Notorious B.I.G., Run-DMC, Wu-Tang Clan and more.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Eminem has been doing his best to give back to fans. Last month, Em gifted frontline workers with free meals. Following his generous donation, staff members at Henry Ford Hospital shared their appreciation on Instagram. “Our #HealthcareHeroes ‘lost themselves’ in the delicious Mom’s Spaghetti donated by Detroit’s very own, @eminem. Thank you for providing a special meal for our team members!” In addition to the touching message, staff members also shared a photo of themselves smiling from ear to ear.
