Wednesday (April 29) marked the four-year anniversary of Drake’s Grammy-nominated and six-times-platinum album, Views. He celebrated the milestone on Instagram by sharing a behind-the-scenes clip of himself recording project cut, “Feel No Ways.”
In the video — simply captioned “VIEWS 2016” — Drizzy can be seen hitting the booth and chatting with producers as “Feel No Way” plays in the background. Besides the dreamy cut, Views also featured collaborations with PartyNextDoor, Pimp C, dvsn, WizKid, Kyla, Future, Rihanna and, one of 2016’s biggest hits, “Hotline Bling.”
After releasing the LP, Drake dropped off his fifth studio album Scorpion in 2018, which will hopefully be followed up later this year.
Speaking with Diddy on Instagram Live, the OVO boss gave a few details about his highly anticipated next project.
“I’m working on the album, I’ve been working on it for awhile now,” Drake said. “Another silver lining [to social distancing] is when God does get you to sit down — I remember the last time I had to sit down was when I tore my ACL, and I made a great album out of that.”
“Obviously, God has us all inside the house right now, sitting down, so the amount of focus that I’m able to put into this album is probably way different than it would’ve been, if I had to go do the residency in [Las] Vegas or be able to go meet up with Justin in Miami,” he continued. “Definitely, this is the most excited I’ve been about an album in a long time. A lot of little stuff has been trickling out, but all the stuff on the album is fresh, it’s brand new and I’m excited. This is probably the most music I’ve ever been sitting on. I’m hyped.”
Most recently, Drake released his dance-accompanied single, “Toosie Slide.” Check out his behind-the-scenes footage below.
