While the rest of the NBA season has been postponed due to Coronavirus concerns, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James has more time to be at home interacting with his fans.
The basketball superstar went live on Instagram last night (Mar. 20) and gave fans an update on Drake’s new album.
“Can you tell Drake to drop his album already?” James read from the comments on the live. “Nah, not ‘til it’s done,” he replied. “Nothing is worth having unless you can wait on it, you know what I’m sayin’? But Drizzy album coming soon yo. It’s coming.”
The “Nice For What” rapper recently broke the record for most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
He just landed his 208th entry with “Oprah’s Bank Account,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty and DaBaby. The single landed at the 89th spot on the chart following its Mar. 9 release. Drake has now passed the cast of “Glee” to obtain the record for most Hot 100 entries.
Drake is now working on his sixth studio album. While he was sitting courtside during the Toronto Raptors vs Phoenix Suns game, he talked to TSN about making new music for his album.
“I’ve been doing this for like 10+ years as well… Sometimes you need to set a target goal for yourself just to keep it interesting,” he said. “Last album, I went high volume. I did two sides. It was like 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs. This album I’ll probably make it more of a realistic offering. Something more concise. It could be 10, 11 songs – 16.”
He added, “I also do a lot of different types of music, so it’s tough to make it like a seven song album…I’m having a lot of fun right now making music.”
