Drake has broken the record for most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The Tornto-bred rapper just landed his 208th entry with “Oprah’s Bank Account,” a collaboration with Lil Yachty and DaBaby. The single just landed at the 89th spot on the chart following its Mar. 9 release. Drake has now passed the cast of “Glee” to obtain the record for most Hot 100 entries.
In May 2009, the Scorpion rapper made his first entry with “Best I Ever Had.” The song debuted at No. 92 on the chart. Billboard reports that Drake spent 431 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100 chart from 2009 to 2017.
Drake is now working on his sixth studio album. While he was sitting court side during the Toronto Raptors vs Phoenix Suns game, he talked to TSN about making new music for his album.
“I’ve been doing this for like 10+ years as well… Sometimes you need to set a target goal for yourself just to keep it interesting,” he said. “Last album, I went high volume. I did two sides. It was like 20-something songs, which is a lot of songs. This album I’ll probably make it more of a realistic offering. Something more concise. It could be 10, 11 songs – 16.”
He added, “I also do a lot of different types of music, so it’s tough to make it like a seven song album…I’m having a lot of fun right now making music.”
