Soon, Quavo and Saweetie will be celebrating their second Christmas together as a couple, and the Migos rapper is pulling out all the stops. On Tuesday (Dec. 22), after flying on her first private jet, Saweetie was surprised with a custom Bentley from her boyfriend.
“Oh my God!” The “Tap In” rapper screamed as a white Bentley with a huge red bow rolled up on the airport tarmac. “My heart is beating so fast.”
The customized car features metal snowflakes on the exterior — a nod to Saweetie’s breakout single — as well as the phrase “Icy” written on the headrests.
In a clip shared to Instagram, an ecstatic Saweetie could be seen literally jumping for joy and running around her new ride. The Bay Area native has been on the frontline of emerging artists this year, with the release of “Tap In,” featuring Jack Harlow, DaBaby and Post Malone, and anticipation surrounding her next full-length project, Pretty Bitch Music. Saweetie shared the first single for the forthcoming effort, “Back to the Streets” featuring Jhené Aiko, in October.
Quavo, on the other hand, recently shared a new update about Culture III. While appearing on Kevin Durant’s “The ETCs” podcast, the rapper confirmed that the Migos’ highly anticipated album will arrive next year.
“We done with the album; we just waiting on 2021, man, so everything can crank up,” Quavo said, adding that the record was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We don’t wanna drop it right now. We want the commotion; we want to move; we want to be outside. We want to drop it and go on tour,” he said. “We want to have an album listening [party] and have people in the thing and really hearing the album. I can’t drop no album and let the internet judge my album. It just don’t make sense. I just want to be with the people. I want to touch the people and that’s what we gon’ do at the top of the year.”
