Boosie Badazz has been discharged from the hospital following his shooting in Dallas last week. The veteran MC was struck in the leg with a bullet while outside of a strip mall.
On Twitter, Boosie dispelled rumors about his leg needing to be amputated and announced that he was no longer being treated for his injuries.
“OUT THE HOSPITAL #athome,” he wrote on Sunday (Nov. 22). “Thanks to all the ones who prayed fa me N YEAH I STILL GOT MY LEG.”
Last Thursday (Nov. 19), Boosie’s manager also denied fan-led rumors about the rapper’s leg needing to be amputated. The theory began on social media with false reports about Boosie’s health being compromised due to his diabetes.
“Fake News,” his manager, Louis Givens, wrote on Instagram.
Boosie also took to the ‘Gram to address his fans after the shooting.
“I’m good,” he wrote on his Story. “Appreciate all the happy birthday wishes and get well soon wishes.”
As reported by REVOLT, Boosie was in Dallas last week to pay his respects to Mo3, his friend and up-and-coming rapper who was fatally shot earlier this month. At the time, Boosie was riding in a Sprinter van in the parking lot of Big T Plaza, when an assailant fired multiple shots at his vehicle. The “Wipe Me Down” artist was hit in the leg and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was treated for an injury below his knee.
So far, Dallas police have not announced any suspects or arrests in Boosie’s shooting. Police did, however, release surveillance photos of the suspect that they believe killed Mo3. The Dallas native had been traveling on a freeway at the time of the shooting, and the suspect reportedly chased him by foot after crashing his car into a median.
Mo3 was signed to Boosie’s Bad Azz Music Label. This Valentine’s Day, the pair dropped a joint effort called Badazz MO3.
