Dallas police have now released surveillance photos of the man who allegedly shot and killed rapper Mo3 on the freeway on Nov 11.
According to CBS Dallas/Fort Worth, Mo3 — born Melvin Noble — was fatally shot while traveling on a Dallas freeway. The suspect reportedly chased the rapper by foot after his car crashed into a median. Police say he fired multiple rounds and an innocent bystander was struck while in their own vehicle.
Authorities say the suspect was driving a 2014 or 2015 black Chevy Camaro. He also wore a ski mask around his head and face and is seen on surveillance holding a gun.
Mo3 was reportedly signed to Boosie Badazz’s Bad Azz Music label. The two recently dropped a joint project together on Valentine’s Day titled Badazz MO3. Earlier this year, he spoke to Flaunt Magazine about how the two artists first crossed paths.
“Three years ago, in a mall,” he said. “He’s doing a signing or walkthrough at a shoe store. I had pulled up, we chopped it up. He put me on his show that night. After that, he flew me to his house. We made two songs for my album. I had a mixtape called 4 Indictments with Gangsta Grillz and DJ Drama. It’s been love ever since.”
The weekend Boosie traveled to Dallas to attend Mo3’s vigil, he was shot in the leg as he was in parking lot of Big T Plaza on Nov. 14. The gunman got away while Boosie was brought to a nearby hospital and treated for a gunshot wound below the knee.
The next day, the “Wipe Me Down” emcee broke his silence about the incident by sending a message to his supporters on Instagram. “I’m good,” he wrote. “Appreciate all the happy birthday wishes and get well soon wishes.”
