Mo3’s longtime manager is mourning the death of the late rapper.

Mo3 — born Melvin Noble — was shot and killed on a Dallas freeway on Wednesday (Nov. 11). During an interview with CBS 11 about the loss, Brandon Rainwater revealed he was on the phone with the Dallas native at the time of the fatal shooting. He claimed he heard the entire incident unfold, but disclosed no further details.

According to Rainwater, he managed Mo3 since the start of his career and watched as he gradually made the transition from a “regular kid” to someone “with power and enough revenue to support his family.

Mo3’s music, Rainwater explained, was not only a reflection of his own life, but others in Dallas “that were going through the same struggles that he went through growing up.” “He spoke for the Black community, the white community, the Mexican community, for all races,” he said of his client. “We lost a good speaker, a poet, an artist.”

Rainwater remembered the “Mop It Out” emcee as a kind man who looked out for others. During quarantine, the rapper reportedly made donations to those financially affected by COVID-19. Before then, his generosity landed Rainwater his managerial position. “He never cared what anybody else said about you. He took how he looked at you, and that’s how he looked at you. He didn’t care about the surrounding sounds. He gave me a job. I ain’t ever been nobody,” Rainwater recalled.

In the wake of Mo3’s tragic passing, his manager claims we should not be sorrowful, noting the “Keep It G” star created a legacy that will live long past his death. “It’s not a time to be sad,” Rainwater said. “From decade to decade, his kids will still be a part of him and be successful because of him. So if he was here right now, he would be here smiling saying, ‘I lived my life’.”
