A new Kanye West and DaBaby collaboration is on the way. ‘Ye hopped on Twitter early Monday morning (Oct. 19) to share a snippet of DaBaby’s new verse, which sounds like it could land on an extended version of Kanye’s latest track, “Nah Nah Nah.”
“DABABY TURNED THIS VERSE AROUND SO QUICK ITS INSPIRATIONAL TO SEE HOW FAST WE CAN MOVE AS A PEOPLE,” Kanye tweeted. “I HAD TO GIVE YALL AT LEAST A SNIPPET.”
On the 16-second clip, DaBaby raps about media and fake friends over Dem Jointz’s production.
“Let me get ‘em, ‘Ye/ They gon hate on a young ni**a anyway/ They only call when they having bills to pay/ Ain’t nobody ask me how I feel today/ I think about it and get in my feelings ‘Ye/ Wanna use me/ They think I’m stupid/ Sh*t that they put out is very confusing/ Feel like the media tryna abuse me,” the Charlotte rapper spits.
For further suggestion that DaBaby’s new verse could land on a “Nah Nah Nah (Remix),” the snippet’s Twitter artwork incorporates an animated skull similar to the single’s official cover art.
The collaboration sneak-peek arrives a day after ‘Ye teased a potential mash-up on Twitter. On Sunday (Oct. 18), he shared a text message conversation with DaBaby, which found the two rappers showing a mutual appreciation for each other.
“Yooooo it’s Ye. Thank you for everything bro,” Kanye sent DaBaby.
The “Suge” rapper replied, “Nah. Thank you! Been inspired. Still inspired! Since Graduation.”
“Praise God. We fine go crazeeee bro,” ‘Ye wrote back, alluding to the possible collab.
“Fashooo,” DaBaby agreed. “Have that back to ya TONIGHT!”
The rappers’ support for one another doesn’t stop at music, either, as DaBaby previously endorsed Kanye’s run for president. Back in August, DaBaby tweeted, “Ima let y’all finish… But you got me fu*ked up [if] you think I ain’t voting for Ye.”
Regardless of who he’s voting for, DaBaby also got Charlotte residents registered to vote earlier this month through his “VOTE BABY VOTE” registration drive.
