After fueling album speculation with the release of his two singles “Loyal” and “The News” back in November, PartyNextDoor has officially confirmed that his next project is on the way.
In two messages posted to Twitter on Wednesday (Jan. 29), the OVO crooner revealed his upcoming album’s title and promised it will arrive by next month.
“The title of my album is PARTYMOBILE,” he wrote.
PND had previously promised fans that the album would drop in January. However, the record, which was once titled Club Atlantis, isn’t quite ready for release.
“To the fans, I’m gonna need some more time to put the finishing touches on this album,” he continued in the second tweet. “February…. I promise the extra time will be worth it.”
Some fans were accepting of the Canadian singer’s explanation, while others weren’t having it.
“All men do is lie,” one Twitter user wrote.
“He said February but didn’t specify which year,” another joked.
It’s understandable that fans are impatient, seeing as PND hasn’t dropped a full-length album since 2016’s PartyNextDoor 3 (P3). His upcoming Partymobile project will serve as a follow-up to his two EPs from 2017, Seven Days and Colours 2.
“Really pretty people like my music, and social media likes really pretty people,” he told Rolling Stone after the release of P3. “This album is blues — it may steer away the pretty people.”
While PartyNextDoor hasn’t offered any more details about the forthcoming project, his November singles are expected to be included.
“I’m taking my time with this album, it’s straight party and unapologetic,” he previously said about his next record.
Earlier this month, PND dropped off a claymation video to accompany his Drake-assisted “Loyal,” where a clay-version of himself makes friends with female giants who are terrorizing Toronto.
