Tekashi 6ix9ine’s come-up and trial have become highly publicized content, with everyone from 50 Cent to Showtime clamoring to tell the rapper’s life story. Now, Spotify has released the audio trailer for their “Infamous: The Tekashi 6ix9ine Story” podcast, which debuts Jan. 28.

In partnership with Complex and narrated by Angie Martinez, “Infamous” will air a new episode every Tuesday for eight weeks. Complex reports that the series will feature exclusive interviews with people closest to the incarcerated rapper and delve into his relationship with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods.

“Tekashi 6ix9ine came out of nowhere, to become 2018’s biggest new rapper,” Martinez begins the trailer. “One day, he’s Danny Hernandez—a young kid making deli sandwiches in Bushwick. The next, everyone knew his trademark tattoos and rainbow hair.”

“He collaborated with superstars like Nicki Minaj, Kanye West, 50 Cent and Young Thug,” she continues. “And then, only one year later, he became something else: hip hop’s most infamous cooperating witness.”

Back in October, Showtime Documentary Films announced their upcoming limited docuseries centered around the notorious artist, titled “SuperVillain.” The three-part series is inspired by journalist Stephen Witt’s 6ix9ine Rolling Stone feature, “Tekashi 6ix9ine: The Rise and Fall of a Hip Hop Supervillain,” and is set to be co-produced by Imagine Documentaries, Rolling Stone and Lightbox.

50 Cent’s forthcoming “A Moment in Time” series will also include an episode based on 6ix9ine’s story.

In other 6ix9ine news, the rapper’s request to serve the remainder of his prison sentence at home has been denied. He was previously concerned for his safety behind bars, due to his famous cooperation with the federal government.

The rapper’s attorney Lance Lazzaro agreed with 6ix9ine’s fears, writing about his safety concerns in a letter to Judge Paul Engelmayer.

“As a result of [6ix9ine’s] cooperation with the government against multiple gang members with the Bloods, [6ix9ine’s] safety is still, and will continue to be for the foreseeable future, seriously at risk,” he previously wrote.
