Kodak Black is a Drake fan and wants to do a entire project with the Toronto rapper. According to Rap-Up, Kodak, who is currently behind bars after being sentenced to 46 months on weapons charges, took to social media on Friday (Jan. 10) and left a comment under one of Drake’s Instagram photos.
“I Am Your Biggest Fan Sir,” Kodak said. “I Love Your Music Sir.” He also suggested the idea of a collaborative album. The rapper added, “If We Can’t Do A Whole Album Together, I Never Want To Do A Song With You Sir.”
Apparently they are fans of one another as Drake showed Kodak’s Dying to Live album love in December 2018. “Bro your album really one of my favorites in the last five years,” Drizzy said to the Florida rapper in a DM conversation. “The bars you are rapping about friends and your purpose is so pure.”
It’s uncertain if this collaboration will come to fruition considering Kodak’s hefty prison sentence, however, his attorneys filed an appeal for the rapper’s 46-month sentence in November. One of the rapper’s lawyers, Fred Haddad, ordered a transcript of Kodak’s sentencing hearing and submitted a statement, which said, “Notice is hereby given that the Defendant, Bill K. Kapri, takes and enters this, his Notice of Appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit to review the Orders, Judgment and Sentence entered on November 13, 2019.”
In addition to Kodak’s current prison sentence, he could be facing additional time after being hit with two new counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Because Kodak is considered a “habitual offender,” each of the charges carry a maximum of sentence of 30 years.
On another note, the rapper has also filed a motion to be relocated to a facility that offers the Residential Drug Abuse Program. The program helps prisoners who have struggled with substance abuse.
