Back in June, T.I. dropped off a new visual for his single “What It’s Come To.” Those that watched until the end received a rather surprising message from the Atlanta rap veteran — his forthcoming album, said to be titled Kill The King, would be his last. In a recent episode of REVOLT’s “Big Facts,” the rapper-actor further expounded on the issue, revealing that his heart simply isn’t in the studio these days:
“Look, bruh, I ain’t gonna lie to you, man. I just don’t care about the same shit other motherfuckers care about, bruh. … Other people’s opinion of me is not my motherfucking business. I ain’t finna be out here, nigga, rapping and losing my breath trying to convince you that I am what I already know that I am.”
This week, T.I. blesses us with his latest single titled “Fuck Em,” which sees him delivering some of his most defiant bars over Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz’s classic cut “We Don’t Give A…”:
“One thang never changed to this day, that nigga Tip never did play, ay, listen I don’t hate you if you gay, but nigga I’ma say what the fuck I wanna say, listen, really all I care ‘bout is my family and the city of Atlanta, been the shit with dealers, dancers, ain’t no way for you to cancel, in my comments with that dumb shit, to be honest, you can vanish…”
Courtesy of Vision Mob, the accompanying clip for “Fuck Em” mixes between black-and-white and color footage, with T.I. taking a trip through his popular Trap Music Museum. In addition to a cameo from “Big Facts” host Big Bank, Lil Jon also makes sure to make his presence felt in the short-yet-straight to the point clip.
