Logic has been on a consistent release streak these last few weeks, providing fans with “Vaccine,” “My Way,” and “Get Up” as he preps for the release of his forthcoming project Bobby Tarantino III. He now adds on to the list with the newly released “Call Me.” On the song, Logic provides a relatable to listeners when they may feel alone:
I know sometimes shit can get crazy and out of control, I know sometimes this world reminds us we should take it slow/ Weight of the world make it impossible to stay afloat and the demons we battle with make it harder to cope/
Why you think we get addicted to alcohol and dope? Addiction’s like a mud bath without a bar of soap/ In other words it’s impossible to stay clean, for people like us bein’ happy is just a daydream but beyond drugs, it’s even day to day shit
Over the past decade, Logic has seen a slew of mixtapes and albums top the charts and earn him Gold and Platinum plaques. Some fan favorite projects include 2019’s Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, which earned Logic his third number one with 80,000 album equivalent units sold. Mere months prior to that release, he also unveiled his novel Supermarket, as well as a soundtrack album of the same name.
In 2020, Logic announced he was retiring from music, which is why some fans may be surprise to see he is, in fact, still releasing new tracks. In one of his only recent convos, he explained a bit further why he came to this decision. “I love music and I’m gonna continue to make music on my own. I can’t not just make music. It’s a journal for me. It’s how I express myself,” he explains. “It’s how I heal, but with Logic, I’m stepping away. And the thing is too, I’m not trying to make it this big show like, ‘Oh my God’ because it’s not that deep. You either believe me or you don’t man. I don’t give a s—t. I’m over here doing my thing.”
