Last month (Jun 11), K Camp officially kicked off his Float Summer with a brand new single “Game Ain’t Free.” He continues the momentum with his freshly released track “Guts,” which features an assist from Rare Sound labelmate True Story Gee. On the track, K Camp sets the tone with his signature smooth bars:
I just hopped off 75, now I’m on the North Side, I’ma push it I’m gone hit the clutch/ Even though you sick good dick and that ass real fat, you can still get blocked ‘cause you do too much/ Standin’ on the couch with a pocket full of money, ballin’ I can see you in the cut/
Most recently, K Camp and PnB Rock linked up to recreate a classic R&B track with their “Life Has Changed” collab, which samples “Differences” by Ginuwine. K Camp’s Kiss 5 project arrived last year in April just time to be played through fans speakers as they coped with quarantine. The body of work boasted fan-favorite cuts like “What’s On Your Mind.” Months later, the Atlanta artist circled back around to drop the deluxe version of the project, which now includes six additional tracks and a new feature from Sevyn Streeter.
Last July, K Camp rounded up his team for Rare Family, a Rare Sound label-wide collaboration album. The collective then reached back into the vault later in March to share a revamped deluxe version of the project titled Rare Family (Reloaded). The Reloaded version adds on eight new tracks, bringing the total to a 20-song tracklist. True Story Gee was spotted doing his thing all over the project. Last year, True Story Gee unleashed his Trap Melody Kid project, and swiftly circled back around to drop his Reloaded version later on.
