Last July, K Camp rounded up his team for Rare Family, a Rare Sound label-wide collaboration album. The collective has now reached back into the vault to share a revamped version of the project titled Rare Family (Reloaded). The Reloaded version adds on eight new tracks, bringing the total to a 20-song tracklist. We’ve already heard previously released cuts like the “Don’t Drink Dasani” freestyle, where on his opening verse, he let’s fans know the flow is as active as ever:
She call me Machiaveli. She want some action she gon’ hit me on the celly. Drunker than a bitch she tryna pump me, no hesi. All these boys be poppin’ but we did this shit already. She don’t drink Dasani, she boujee but that bitch get ratchet.
Currently the Rare Sound roster consists of a line up including K Camp, Bobby Kritical, True Story Gee, Lil Bird, JRod, TrappinNLondon, and Genius. True Story Gee also recently dropped off his visual for “New Beginning,” which can be found on the new project as well. He is the first artist signed to the Rare Sound Label and shared his Trap Melody Kid project last year before circling back around and dropping a deluxe version of that project as well.
In his latest conversation with REVOLT, K Camp gave a check in on how the Rare Sound collective is doing. “The gang is getting better and better. I signed Lil Bird, he just dropped an [EP] on May 1 called YellowBird,” said the head honcho. “ True Story Gee just dropped an album before the quarantine — and we’re still looking for new talent. So, we got new acts, and then, we’re also focusing on the main members, making sure they get their proper looks and all that.”
