South Carolina’s very own NGeeYL makes his return with his brand new single “Off-White.” As a pleasant surprise to many, the new track includes a feature from Lil Uzi Vert and is paired with the official video. The duo originally joined forces organically through social media after NGeeYL gained the attention of Uzi with the release of his mixtape Hiatus, leading Uzi to shoutout him out on Instagram calling NGee his “favorite rapper”. From there, the two rappers forged a friendship that would translate into Lil Uzi Vert executive producing NGeeYL’s album to be released later this year and birth this first single “Off-White.”
In the new Qasquiat-shot video, Uzi bounces off NGeeYL’s energy as fuel for his verse:
Wash the dirty money, uh, with some fucking Tide, uh (Clean) I don’t trust these n***as, yeah, I don’t have no ties, no (Ties)/ My bitch wearing lace (Lace), uh, but my shoes not tied (Tied), ayy I’m not picking sides (Sides), uh, one-six ‘til I die (Die), uh/ Double S on my face, try committing suicide, yeah, double down on my waist, yeah, I’m gon’ stay alive
Around this time last year, NGeeYL dropped his project Live Ammo. The project included 14 tracks and features from Lil Keed, Pvlace, Trapboy Freddy, and production from Jetson. Before that was the attention-garnering Hiatus project, which saw appearances from Young Nudy, Valee, and Pvlace again.
In Uzi-related news, he revealed during a recent Instagram Live session that he’s getting ready to release another project. “Bro, I’mma drop an album, bro,” he said. “I’m not gon’ lie, I’mma go so hard. Everybody that doubted me, I’m still gonna accept y’all right back ‘cause the more the merrier… This shit going to be legendary though.” Last year, the Philly native gave fans clues about his forthcoming album. He said that the project was “coming soon” and promised it would sound like “old Uzi music.”
